Cost Per Participant:
Together with Kings Worthy Primary School we are running a series of cycle rides for ladies in the area, with a third ride depending on demand! Sign up for sessions on 16th and 23rd March.
The aim is for local ladies to develop more confidence to cycle on their own, with friends or family, and learn new cycle routes into town and find quiet routes in the surrounding countryside. The route length will depend on the group and vary from what specified but be manageable by all.
You'll learn new skills and techniques from Vicky Smith a local Cycle Coach and Breeze Champion who's passionate about getting more ladies on their bikes in a way that suits them. We'll meet and have a chat then move to start in a secure environment first off the road, and then put it into practice on a led cycle ride with female cycle leaders. There will be the opportunity to discuss what you've learnt, and what you would like to do next.
You can bring any sort of bicycle to the session, and we ask that you bring a helmet, as well as dressing in clothes you are comfortable cycling in and suitable for whatever the weather brings - gloves are usually a good idea.
For more information about this session you can contact us via this page, via the Breeze Network Winchester Facebook page or contact local Women's Cycling Coordinator and Breeze Champion Ruth Crawford by email below.
We hope to see you there!
