Catching the train is a faster, more relaxing and less stressful way to travel on business. It’s also easy and hassle-free for leisure trips with your family and friends. North Whiteley is situated between two stations, Botley and Swanwick, giving you access to two different train lines, which merge to the East. It is easy to travel to Southampton (20mins), Portsmouth (33 mins), Winchester (20 mins) and London (1 hr 33 mins) with connections to the north and south west.

Great news – you can use your £100 travel voucher towards a rail card which gives you discount on: off peak travel (e.g. Family and Friends, Two Together, Senior, Young Person (16-25 or 26-30); 16-17 Saver or towards your rail season ticket.

Accessing both stations couldn’t be easier. Extensions of Whiteley Way and Bluebell Way, with safe walking and cycling routes, is just one way to access the train. Bus service 28/28A will be extended into North Whiteley as the development grows, initially serving both Swanwick and Botley train stations until the full route links Fareham to Hedge End.

Fancy some exercise?

Combine your train journey with a cycle or walk to the station. With around a 30-40 minute walk time, it’s safe to say you’ll feel ready for the day once you’ve arrived at the train station. Swanwick station has a large, covered cycle parking area to leave your bike. Should you need your bike on the other side of your train journey, visit PlusBike for information about bikes on trains, bike reservations, bike parking and bike hire.

As with most operators there are a range of options, with season tickets offering the best value for money. Your employer may offer an interest free loan for the purchase of annual season tickets which helps spread the cost of travel.
