Train

The train can offer a faster and less stressful way to travel to work, education or for leisure. North Whiteley residents have access to two train stations; Botley to the North and Swanwick to the South, they are on different train lines that merge to the east. Both train stations will be accessible on foot, by bike or bus. 

Typical travel times by train are Southampton (20mins), Portsmouth (33 mins), Winchester (20 mins) and London (1 hr 33 mins).

Getting to the station

If you want to try alternatives to driving to your local train station.

Cycle to the station - Tick off your regular exercise with a cycle to the station.  Most stations have bike parking facilities. For this and other general information about travelling with a bike on trains go to National Rail.

 

Bus links to stations - Depending on where you’re heading, bus services will take  you to Farnham or Liphook stations, with an average journey time of around 35  minutes. It’ll also make you feel better about your carbon footprint by leaving the car at home.

 

Lift share to save time and money - Lift share to the station with members of the free, award winning, national Liftshare scheme. Lift sharing with one or more people will cut travel costs including any parking charges at the station.
