Cycle

Cycling is a low impact exercise which can reduce stress and one of the easiest ways to fit exercise into your daily routine. It can often be quicker to cycle than to travel by car for local journeys during rush hour, not forgetting cycling is a zero emissions alternative. Cycling can also take a third of the time it takes to walk the same journey.

Developers of Whiteley Meadows have designed new routes alongside Botley Road, Bluebell Way and Whiteley Way to enable safe cycling and walking. In addition, wayfinding signs will guide you around the area and streets have been designed to slow traffic and encourage residents to cycle.

As a house-warming gift, we offer you a £100 travel voucher which can be spent on cycle kit or towards a bike at a store of your choice, including three local bike stores.

New to cycling or need a refresher on how to get those legs spinning again? Bikeability training can help you get that confidence back with cycle training in and around the area – new residents can use their £100 travel voucher towards getting back on the bike too!

Want to meet your neighbours whilst getting some exercise? There are a number of cycle clubs in the area that will get you chatting and cycling simultaneously, the nearest is Whiteley Cycle Club and Fareham Wheelers.
