Air your views competition

Have you heard about our ‘Air Your Views Competition’ where entrants have the chance to win the fantastic prize of visiting the BBC South, Broadcasting House in Southampton to watch a live filming of the BBC South Today News Programme and to tour their studios and Radio Solent?

Students need to use their imagination to create a short film highlighting the issue of air pollution released by road traffic and suggesting positive ways to make improvements to air quality that involve active, healthy and sustainable travel.

Their films could be a short story, news report or an advertisement using actors or animation, humour or hard facts. The important thing is that the films should be positive, and solution focused – delivering an encouraging message about the beneficial impacts of travelling actively and sustainably.  The films should be made by teams of no more than five students and must be positive, not include references to death, and need to be three minutes or less in length.

To sign up for the competition, please one of the following links and we will send you resources  (including a short promotional video) to promote the competition around your school or college - Hampshire schools and colleges or Southampton Schools and colleges

Entries should be sent to jean.macgrory1@hants.gov.uk before the closing date of 26 April, 2019.
