Third Avenue Scheme - have your say
Southampton’s Third Avenue forms a vital part of the city’s busiest cycle network and is one of the three national cycle network routes in and out of the city. Proposals are now in place to make part of Third Avenue permanently one way to provide a dedicated two way cycle way. This would run east from Manor House Avenue to the Regents Park Road traffic signals, as shown in the map below.
The proposals follow the ongoing resurfacing work along the road and form part of a wider improvement scheme to provide a cycle freeway from the New Forest and Totton into the City Centre.
