Walktober clean air walk competition!

Walktober clean air walk competition!

Following on from the success of Walktober in 2016, we are bringing it back to schools in Hampshire and Southampton to encourage active travel on the school run and raise awareness of air quality by “Walking away from pollution”.

To encourage your pupils to get involved, My Journey is running a competition to take a picture of Basil or Babs the bird on their walk to school.  We have created a letter for you to email to parents or include in pupil book bags, along with a cartoon explaining the competition and the outlines of the birds themselves for colouring and cutting out.

It would be great if you could help to reduce air pollution on your school run by encouraging parents to replace four wheels with two feet by being part of this competition. If you have any questions please contact [email protected].
