Winchester Route 64 launch

There’s now an easier way to get around in Winchester, thanks to the launch of four brand new double decker buses, brought to you by Stagecoach.

As part of over a £1m investment in Winchester’s local transport network, the new buses have been delivered for the Winchester route 64 – a convenient and affordable transport link between Winchester, Alresford and Alton.

The buses run every 30 minutes from Winchester to Alton (via Alresford), Ropley and Four Marks – and the service is designed to connect with the National Rail Network at Alton Train Station, to offer a handy link into London.

From Sunday 19 November, there will also be improvements to the timetable which will see extra evening journeys as well as an hourly service on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

The new double deckers feature e-leather seating, free WiFi, next stop announcements and free USB charging points at every seat.

Don't forget, there's also new, convenient ways for you to purchase a bus ticket with Stagecoach's contactless payment option - making catching the bus an attractive and sustainable mode of transport to help get you get around quickly and easily.
