Does your bike need a bit of TLC? Or do you need help to ensure that your bike is safe and ready to use? Has it been stored for some time and is in need of a check up? Or perhaps you would like to learn some basic bike maintenance?

M Check

The M Check is a practical, step-by-step guide to checking your bike is safe to ride.

Fix that flat

This video will give you a basic overview of how to repair a flat tyre on a bike, including how to remove the wheel, replace the inner tube, and put it all back together.

Repairing an inner tube

We would always recommend carrying a spare inner tube when out riding, in case the worst should happen. However, should you run out of tubes, or fancy saving a bit of cash, it's worth knowing how to properly repair a puncture.

Stopping power

This video will help you get the most out of your brakes in terms of both stopping power and lifespan.

Geared up and ready to Go

This video walks you through how to adjust your gears to ensure they are working as smoothly and efficiently as possible.

While we may be able to offer support, it is always worth checking any repairs you make with a bike mechanic. A good bike shop will be able to advise on a range of cycling issues. They may also run workshops or courses.

Bike Doctor

We will be running events across Hampshire to help you keep your bike in tip top condition. Our Bike Doctors visit towns and workplaces in Hampshire, offering free safety checks and fixing any minor issues. The Bike Doctor will be able to offer advice and guidance and make recommendations about any further work that may be required. All opportunities will be advertised as they arise on our events pages. Or check out cycling clubs and hubs we currently work with.
