Hampshire walking opportunities

Walking in Hampshire is fun, free and friendly, and walkers are invited to join for a cuppa and a chat after the walk. It's a great way to get active, socialise and meet new people! The walks last approximately 45 minutes and everyone is welcome to join. You can find information about health walks in Hampshire, including local walks in Winchester. Most walks are led by volunteers, and free training is provided to people who would like to help out with the walks. Support is also offered for workplaces or community groups who would like to organise walks for their organisation. Find more information about volunteering.

You can also discover, create and share your own walks with Go Jauntly.

Hampshire also has many other walking groups you might like to join. Walking can be great fun and very sociable. Find a full list and more information about your local groups.

Hampshire Walking Group is a Ramblers group in Hampshire for young people who enjoy walking, the great outdoors, socialising and, above all, having fun! They organise a lot of activities throughout the year, from regular weekend walks and social meet ups in and around Hampshire, to exciting trips away all over the UK.

Hampshire County Councils Countryside also offers led walks and activites for families. Whether you want magnificent views, a country park, somewhere to walk the dog or to simply go for a gentle stroll, you'll find plenty to choose from in Hampshire.

If you live or work around the Winchester area you can get involved in their Feet First campaign.
