Our team has created a series of training films designed to support schools at every stage — whether you’re just getting started with STARS or looking for ongoing guidance. Getting started with Modeshift STARS

This video introduces the STARS platform and takes you through the essentials — how to register, log in, and navigate your school’s landing page. It explains where to find key guidance documents, how to use the Basic User Guide, and gives an overview of the toolbox features.

 

 

Building your STARS travel plan - Part 1

This video focuses on the first sections of your travel plan showing you how to complete your school information and introduction sections. It also provides guidance on reviewing your travel and transport infrastructure and identifying and recording transport issues.

 

 

Building your STARS travel plan - Part 2

This video guides you through the more detailed elements of your plan, including adding pupil and staff surveys, viewing statistics and modal shift data, and setting targets. It also shows how to add initiatives and consultations, track accreditation progress, sign off your plan, generate a PDF, and keep your travel plan updated.

 

STARS training PowerPoint 

This presentation introduces schools to the Modeshift STARS online system and explains how to create and maintain a School Travel Plan.

It covers platform functions including registration, logging in, navigating the school landing page, completing the required sections, adding surveys, setting targets and recording initiatives.

The PowerPoint also outlines how schools can monitor progress and work towards STARS accreditation.
