Cycling is a low emission, low impact exercise which can reduce stress and is one of the easiest ways to fit exercise into your daily routine. It can often be quicker to cycle than to travel by car for local journeys. Cycling can take a third of the time it takes to walk the same journey.
The Green Loop
The new 7km Green Loop has been built to improve cycling and walking links around Bordon. Download the Green Loop Map and view The Green Loop Drone Video for more details. Other improvements to pedestrian and cycle routes around the town will make it easier to get about and reduce your car use.
East Hampshire residents can hire bikes and e-bikes for free from Cycle Sphere based in The Shed, Whitehill & Bordon. Each bike can be hired for a maximum of two hours and proof of identification will be required. Free bike hire in Whitehill and Bordon
A new initiative from East Hampshire District Council and Cyclesphere enables you to rent bikes and e-bikes for up to two hours free of charge. This opportunity is part of an effort to promote healthier and more active lifestyles among residents and encourages people to explore The Green Loop - an award winning network of paths that criss-cross through and around the town.

Longer distance cycle routes
Use the My Journey Planner above or the Sustrans National Cycle Network planner to help you explore the local area by bike. Sustrans Route 22 runs from London to Portsmouth and passes through Whitehill and Bordon.
The Shipwrights Way, a long distance route of 50 miles, starts at Alice Holt Forest, passes through Whitehill and Bordon and finishes in Portsmouth. Visit Alice Holt Forest and explore their cycle trails.
