Hampshire Schools achieve Modeshift STARS awards and nominations

Modeshift STARS

We are thrilled to announce twenty-one Hampshire schools have achieved their Modeshift STARS awards. The following schools successfully submitted their Travel Plans for the December 2021 deadline to gain their accreditations.  

Bronze Accreditation

Ashley Infant, Cadland Primary, Clanfield Junior, Deer Park Secondary, Hordle Primary, Hythe Primary, Marchwood Infant, Milford-on-Sea Primary, Oak Lodge, Our Lady and St Joseph Catholic Primary, Poulner Infant, Redlands Primary, Riverside Community Special School, Sarisbury Infant, St Bede’s Catholic Primary, The Mark Way School and The Waterloo School.

Silver Accreditation

Forest Park and Marchwood Junior.

Gold Accreditation

Sarisbury Junior.

Platinum Accreditation

Foxhills Infant.  

 

We are also excited to have three schools nominated for the 2021/22 Modeshift STARS National School Travel Awards. Foxhills Infant, Manor Infant and St John the Baptist Primary (Waltham Chase) will compete with schools across the South East for the award of ‘School of the Local Authority’ and ‘School of the Region’. The winning ‘Schools of the Region’ will be invited to London to represent the region in the National STARS School Travel Awards that take place in June.

There are only 73 schools across the country that have been nominated from the 3,500 schools that are signed up to Modeshift STARS.

Modeshift STARS recognises schools and other educational establishments that have shown excellence in supporting walking, cycling and other forms of active travel.

The next accreditation deadline is 31st March 2022 for those wishing to submit or renew.
