Try reducing your carbon footprint by car sharing 

This week, we are taking part in TravelWise Week, a week-long campaign promoting active and sustainable travel across Hampshire.  

We are going to tell you about the various travel options you can take when working, studying, and playing in Hampshire.  If you can swap your car for a different mode of transport one or more days this week, that would be great, and it would be brilliant if you could also tweet a picture.  So, join in, leave your car at home, and discover alternative ways to travel.  #BeHantsTravelWise 

Today we are going to talk about car sharing. 

Liftshare 

Liftshare is an award-winning lift share scheme where members are able to lower their travelling costs and carbon footprint by offering to share their journeys. It is free to join and use.  You simply add your journey details, find another member to car share with and then via the messaging system arrange how and when to meet, and then accept and start sharing.    

You could also get your company signed up to LiftShare for Work and help your organisation to reduce their scope 3 commuter emissions, as well as improving the air quality and congestion around your office location. 

Lift sharing can lead to long term friendships, an average saving of £1000 a year and the satisfaction that you are making a difference on your journey,
