The Clean Air Challenge 2026: Award finalist and growing!

The Hampshire Workplace Clean Air Challenge is celebrating a successful 2026 campaign and has been recognised nationally as a finalist in the Modeshift National Travel Awards 2026 - Business Engagement Project of the Year.
Delivered in support of Clean Air Day, the challenge helped workplaces take simple, practical steps to reduce air pollution, encourage sustainable travel and support employee wellbeing. Six organisations took part, engaging more than 500 staff across Hampshire through a series of easy-to-deliver activities and communications.
The challenge has already helped organisations strengthen their sustainability ambitions, support travel planning objectives and raise awareness of the links between air quality, health and travel choices. One participating workplace went on to sign up for Modeshift STARS Business, while others incorporated the challenge into their Travel Plans.
