The Clean Air Project
We are currently recruiting Schools to take part in our Clean Air Project
Would your pupils enjoy becoming Scientists and Campaigners?
Would you like the school community to breathe cleaner air when travelling to school?
If you answered, “yes!”, the Clean Air Project is right for your School!
With tailored, age-appropriate sessions, the Clean Air Project educates pupils about Air Quality and Pollution. Your young scientists help to investigate the Air Quality on commonly used walking/cycling routes ready to present their findings to the school.
Your pupils will go on to create a mini campaign, passing on the knowledge they have gained. They will use their creativity to promote a clean air message of their choosing to the school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference for the whole school!
During the project we use the Plume Flow Meter to test air quality. As part of this process a member of school staff is required to download the companion app to a smartphone and sync it to the Flow Meter.
- To download the free companion app, search for "Flow The personal air pollution sensor" on the Play Store (android) or the App Store (Apple).
- Instructions on how to sync the app and air quality sensor can be found here: Flow Getting Started Guide – Plume Labs (zendesk.com)
