Competition Terms and Conditions for Primary Schools and Secondary Schools Clean Air Day 2026

  1. The Promoter of this competition is the Universal Services Travel Planning Team of Hampshire County Council at The Castle, Winchester, SO23 8UD (the “Promoter”).
  2. The competition will start on Monday 15th June and close on Friday 3rd July 2026.
  3. Entries received after 11.59pm on 3rd July 2026 will not be counted.
  4. To enter, entrants must;

Primary Schools Clean Air Challenge competition:

Fill in the snap survey form and upload a PDF version of their Notebook via the  link  on the Clean Air Challenge Schools webpage - https://myjourneyhampshire.com/cleanairchallenge. The competition is only eligible for settings within Hampshire County Council’s boundary.

Secondary Schools Clean Air Day competition:

Fill in the snap survey form for which the link can be found on the Clean Air Day Schools webpage - https://myjourneyhampshire.com/clean-air-day-schoolsEither the school can submit the entries on behalf of their students, or the student can submit their own entry.  The competition is only eligible for settings within Hampshire County Council’s boundary. 

  1. By registering for the events and/or entering any of the linked competitions using the snap survey forms entrants are consenting to Hampshire County Council Travel Planning Team processing their personal data for the purposes of this competition and subject to these terms and conditions. Further details can be found in our privacy notice below.
  2. Entrants may be aged under 18 but will require parental consent and be UK residents. This promotion excludes any employees of the Hampshire County Council Travel Planning Team, their families, agencies or anyone else connected with this promotion.
  3. One (1) entry allowed per person. However, multiple individual entries may be submitted together (for example, a parent on behalf of children or a school on behalf of its students). Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted. The Promoter reserves the right to discount or disqualify any inappropriate or offensive entries.
  4. Entries received by post will be entered in to the competition, as long as they are received by 3rd July 2026. Postal entries cannot be returned to the entrant. Once the competition has been judged, any paper entries will be destroyed.
  5. The competition is free to enter and there is no purchase necessary.
  6. Primary Schools Clean Air Challenge competition: There are 2 prizes to be won.  One winner will have the choice of an air quality kit, scooter gear or a gardening set. One runner up will receive a £50 gardening voucher or equivalent.

 Secondary Schools Clean Air Day competition: There are three prizes to be won.  The winning entry will receive one £50 shopping voucher, and two runner up     entries will each receive one £25 shopping voucher.  

  1. The prizes are non-negotiable, non-refundable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable and no cash alternative offered.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to provide a substitute prize of equal or greater value should the prize granted become unavailable for reasons beyond its control.
  3. Primary Schools Clean Air Challenge competition: The entries will be judged by the Travel Planning Team at Hampshire County Council.  The winner and one runner up will be notified by 22nd July 2026 or as soon as practicable after this date via email to the relevant schools.

Secondary Schools Clean Air Day competition: The entries will be judged by the Travel Planning Team at Hampshire County Council. The winner and two runners up will notified by 22nd  July 2026 or as soon as practicable after this date via email to the relevant schools.

  1. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner and runners up. If the winner and runners up cannot be contacted or are not available or have not claimed their prize within 28 of days of being notified, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to another applicable entrant chosen at random.
  2. A confirmation email with details will be sent to the contact details supplied.

Primary Schools Clean Air Challenge competition: The winner will be sent their prize once they have confirmed which prize they would like.  The one runner up will be sent their £50 gardening voucher.

Secondary Schools Clean Air Day competition: The winner and two runners up will be sent their prizes.  This will be sent to the contact details supplied. 

  1. The Promoter will use the entrant’s personal data for carrying out the promotion, contacting the winner and pre and post event promotion. Please see privacy notice below.
  2. If you have any queries or concerns about how we are handling your information or if you would like to exercise your rights as described above, please contact Hampshire County Council’s Data Protection Officer at data.protection@hants.gov.uk
  3. You agree to be bound by the decisions of the Promoter, which are final in all matters relating to the promotion. No correspondence will be entered into.
  4. Entrants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
  5. The Promoter reserves the right to update and amend these terms and conditions at any time to the extent necessary to comply with any applicable laws, regulations or other guidance.
  6. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England.

 

Competition Privacy Notice

Hampshire County Council collects information about you to provide you with Travel Planning Services and to inform how our services are delivered. We will use the information (i) to contact if you or your child has won in a competition (ii) if you or your child is a winner or runner up to use for future event promotion (iii) if you are a member if a Hampshire County Council school who is submitting competition entries on behalf of your pupils (iv) for analysing where journeys to school are being made from (v) to contact you about a service that you have requested further information on (vi) to support us in writing a travel plan on behalf of a school to summarise travel and access issues, and propose solutions (vii) if there is a safeguarding matter that we become aware of highlighted in the survey forms, we will need to share this with the Headteacher for them to action, where appropriate.

The legal basis for our use of this information is where the data subject has given explicit consent to processing for specified purposes. All data will remain within the UK/EEA and will only be shared with third parties where they are undertaking data processing on behalf of Hampshire County Council. We may share your personal information with the organisation named in this survey or, where there is a competition and the prize is to be given by another agency, we would provide them with your details if you are a winning entry.

We will keep your personal information for up to five years plus the current year, after which it will be deleted or destroyed.
