Travel Surveys

Hampshire County Council carries out biennial travel surveys on behalf of the North Whiteley Consortium.  These travel surveys are required to meeting the planning requirements of the North Whiteley development travel plan and are fully funded by the developers.

The surveys ask the community of North Whiteley and the surrounding area how they currently travel and what might encourage them to travel more sustainably or actively in the future.  The responses and feedback, in collaboration with local partners, will help us to plan and provide activities and measures that benefit the North Whiteley community. We completed the first survey in 2023 and are currently carrying out the second survey which closes on midnight on 20th July.

Please see below for the first report.

Travel Survey 2023

This survey was carried out in June and July 2023, and there were 151 responses out of approximately 950 occupations on the development.  This makes a response rate of 16%.

We promoted the survey on our My Journey digital channels, ran a social media campaign and sent a letter to all households.  Plus we did flyers to the local schools.
